A Christmas Wishlist (Full of Things I Will Not Be Getting This Year)

My computer has been making some strange noises lately, and I’ve been in the market for a new computer.  I’m afraid that if I don’t get a new one soon, this one will crash and I’ll be left with no way to do homework (let alone Facebook, Twitter, blogging).  This laptop is perfect; it’s not too extreme for price, and it fits my needs perfectly.  I used Lenovos in high school (yearbook), and I know how well they run.  If I get any money for Christmas, I’m saving it up to buy this myself (along with a paycheck from work).

I’ve always craved a DSLR camera, and after being in Yearbook and being exposed to them (i.e. using them every single day), I yearned for one.  I love taking pictures (and no, not just of myself), and finding beauty in the ordinary.  I love this camera.  If I had $500 to spend right now, this is probably what I would get.

No, I lied.  I would get these.

They’re beautiful, edgy, fierce, sexy.  I could think of a million more words to express how these shoes look, and I still wouldn’t be able to describe them properly.  I drool when I see them, and I can’t help but go to the webpage every day to look at them and wish I had a pair.  I would wear them with skinny jeans and a tank top; with short shorts, tights and a black long sleeved shirt; with my lace dress and black tights.  I can think of so many outfits to work them into, and my heart skips a beat when I think of having my own pair.

Those are the three things at the top of my Christmas list, and I know I won’t be getting any of them.  But I will end up with them sometime in the future, even if I have to save 4 consecutive paychecks.

Hope everyone is having a lovely week, filled with plenty of hot chocolate, and dreams of Christmas gifts!

The Case of the Missing Camera

I really, honestly have no reason to say why I wasn’t blogging.  I knew I should blog, but I didn’t want to force myself.  So I put it off for days.  During this time of non-blogging, I watched a whole lot of Grey’s Anatomy (which I love.), read (the books that shall remain unnamed), and looked for my missing camera.

The missing camera is the reason I didn’t do a Silent Saturday post.  There are poppies blooming.  There are beautiful, lush landscapes that I want to capture.  But without my camera, I can’t take pictures of them to keep.  I’ve searched high and low, right and left, top to bottom: EVERYWHERE.  And the camera isn’t anywhere I’ve looked.  It’s not in it’s normal place; right beside the computer desk, hugging the printer.  And I have a sneaky suspicion as to who stole it…

I also got my graduation necklace(s) from my aunt and uncle, and absolutely love them!  I’m wearing the red one to dinner while we’re in Florida.

Burns and Full Moons

Remember the walk to the “frog pond”? These are the results. If you’ve seen the pictures of me on here, you’ll know that my skin is very fair, and it takes about five minutes to burn without sunscreen. Even the day before (Friday), when I was at work (babysitting), we played outside with water, and I had sunscreen on, and I still burnt, not within five minutes, but about 15. Yesterday, knowing that I was going to be mowing the lawn, I slathered on 60 SPF. Then the sun went away, and I covered up anyways.

Did anyone see the moon the 28th? It was so bright and full and beautiful! I noticed it when I was driving home from work at about 10.30, because the dirt road is usually so dark, even with headlights, and that night, it was bright. When I got home, I tried to take a picture of it, but my camera just doesn’t do it justice. I’m waiting for the day that I can buy a nice SLR camera without guilt, but until then, I’ll have to make do with my little Samsung.

In the morning, I’ll be leaving for about a week to go help my sister out while she’s at an Army thing. Kyle will be here (again) with his grandpa this weekend, so I’ll try to make it back then.

I’ll leave you with the wonderful (ha!) photo I took of the moon. (That’s a tree in front of it, by the way.)

I just realized this new blog template doesn’t date the entries. Strange…
