Tuesday Questions

It’s been a long time since I’ve had enough time to put together a questionnaire on Tuesday (the last one was on the 1st!), and because I have time this morning, I thought I would try to make a few so I can post next week, too.

1.) Mood: A little bit tired, a little bit happy, and a little bit worried.  I have a final today that I haven’t studied for at all.

2.) If you could offer a newborn child just one piece of advice for their life, what would it be?  Choose to be happy.  It sounds cliché, but instead of chasing after that boy (or girl), that high-paying job, that nice car; chase after happiness.  Because if you have that, it doesn’t matter what else you do or don’t have.

3.) What book are you reading right now?  Eldest by Christopher Paolini.  His newest book came out, and I didn’t know that I was going to be getting it for my birthday, so I didn’t read the others in advance.  I’m getting through them slowly but surely.

4.) Do you cover public toilets with toilet paper before you sit down?  No.  I’m the most un-germophobic person you’ll ever meet.  I pick chapstick up off the ground and use it, share straws/forks/gum/toothbrushes.  The one thing I can’t do though, is eat off of someone’s plate.  Not sure if it’s manners or what, but if they offer me a bite off their fork, I’ll take it, but if they say to scoop it up myself, I can’t.

5.) Have you ever had a hickey?  Before this year, I would have said no, but a month or so ago, I got the biggest, grossest hickey I’ve ever seen in my life.  It looked like a zombie attacked me.  You don’t believe me?

How about now.

6.) What’s something you do alone that you would never do around people?  I tend to pick at my face.  It’s such a bad habit, and I try not to do it around anyone, but I’m sure I’ve slipped and someone’s seen that gross-ness.

7.) What’s something you want right now?  $150 (or more) to spend at MAC.  Since picking up some things a few weeks ago, I’ve become obsessed.  That’s all I want for Christmas.  Money to spend at MAC.  (But, I also need a new computer; mine’s about to crash, and a DSLR camera.  I need both of those more than MAC, but you know, I’m hoping for all three sometime soon! Everything contained in one handy-dandy list right here!)

8.) Where are your feet right now?  They’re up on the chair with me.  They get lonely when I leave them on the floor for too long.

9.) Are you going anywhere next summer?  I think I have to work non-stop to save up enough money to live in Ghana for a year…so probably not.

10.) Weekly goals:  Get through finals, clean my room, and finish “Eldest” (and maybe “Brisingr”).

Tuesday Questions

Happy late Halloween everyone!  I hope you all got a lot of candy if you went trick or treating, and I hope you had a lot of fun dressing up (if you did)!  I had to work, but it was a pretty good night, and even though I didn’t get to dress up, I still had fun at Chipotle.  I work the rest of the week (I’m scheduled for 39 hours, but I already know that I’m going to go way over), and even though tomorrow is my birthday, I’m still going to work.  I’m hoping that I can get enough money to buy tickets to go home for December.  Onto the questions:

1.) Mood: Tired but happy.  I’m about to go shower soon too.

2.) When was the last time you carved a pumpkin?  Quite awhile ago; high school I think.

3.) What is your favorite Halloween candy?  Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups for sure.

4.) What is your favorite Halloween memory?  I had a lot of fun last year dressed up as Marla Singer with Kyle as Tyler Durden from “Fight Club”.  It was my first try at kind of complicated make-up and it was what got me obsessed with YouTube tutorials.

5.) Do you believe in ghosts/spirits?  Not really.

6.) Were you allowed to dress up at school for Halloween as a kid?  We were allowed, but I rarely did.

7.) Did you trick-or-treat as a kid? At what age did you stop?  I always went trick or treating, and this year was the only year I didn’t go.

8.) What is your favorite Halloween movie?  I don’t really have a favorite one.  But if “Practical Magic” counts, then that’s my favorite.

9.) Did you dress up for Halloween this year? If so, as what?  I actually had to work for Halloween, and we weren’t allowed to dress up, so I didn’t get to.

10.) Weekly goals:  Get back to my normal self, work hard (and put some of the money away to go home for Christmas), and enjoy my birthday tomorrow.

Tuesday Questions

1.) Mood:  Not feeling the best, but I’m looking forward to a trip to Ulta  to pick some things up.

2.) When making a sandwich, do you care if one of the bread slices is the end of the loaf?  If both are end pieces, I don’t mind.  But if one is a middle piece and the other is an end, I usually don’t make a sandwich, or make a sandwich with just the middle piece folded over.

3.) What is the weather like today?  It looks pretty sunny, hopefully this Indian summer will last a few more days before chilly, soaking rain comes back.

4.) Current nail polish:  Nothing.

5.) What ring setting do you keep your cell phone on at night: loud or silent? (Or the phone completely off?)  I usually always have my phone on vibrate for classes and for work, and I forget to change it.

6.) Current outfit:  Grey sweatpants and a grey shirt (I just woke up to do homework and haven’t gotten dressed for the day).

7.) What is your favorite Disney movie?  I think I’ve answered this question before, but The Beauty and the Beast has always been and will always be my favorite movie.  I identify with Belle because of her intelligence, her independence, and her love of books.

8.) Can you whistle using your fingers?  Nope.  I’ve always been jealous of people who can.

9.) When doing laundry, do you separate loads (lights/darks, delicates, etc.) or throw everything together?  I wash my Chipotle shirts (along with my jeans and any other blacks) together because I don’t want my work shirts to get faded, but everything else gets tossed in.  Sheets and towels are washed separately too.

10.) Weekly goals:  Get the managers to allow me to wear kitty makeup for Halloween at work (since I have to work anyways), get caught up on what I’ve missed in classes from being sick, and rest.

Tuesday Questions

1.) Mood: Weirded out.  Just got back from eating at Chipotle with Krista, and the boyfriend calls to tell me that he and a friend saw a girl getting raped/strangled in the park we just walked through.

2.) What do you hear right now?  The sound of my keyboard, Krista moving around and the humming of the heating thing.

3.) Do you have any tattoos?  I have four; a black and white nautical star on my right wrist, some words on my left wrist, a hyena on the left side of my chest, and a little heart behind my left ear.  I’m going to get two more that I know of within this year.

4.) Current nail polish: Nothing on my fingernails, but I have Aztec Orange on my toes.

5.) What is your favorite pair of shoes?  Right now, my Big Buddha slip ons.

6.) Current outfit:  Bullhead skinny jeans, a pink and grey striped top I got from Dry Goods, and my grey suede boots.

7.) Do you collect anything?  Not really anymore.

8.) What is your favorite perfume (or body/soap scent if you don’t wear perfume)? Anything that has amber.  I’ll get it instantly if it had notes of amber.  But I also love my Lolita Lempicka perfume.

9.) Do you feel younger or older than your current age?  I feel a lot more mature than most people my age, but at times, I feel a lot younger.

10.) Weekly goals: Get back on track with classes without overworking myself.

Tuesday Questions

1.) Mood: Tired, but happy.  I’m always in a good mood after watching The Vampire Diaries.

2.) Can you parallel park (well)? Depends what I’m driving, but generally I can do it pretty well.

3.) What is your favorite treat during the fall/winter/holiday season? Hot apple cider or candy canes.

4.) Current nail polish: None.  I am thinking about changing my toes from OPI “Midnight in Moscow” to L.A. Colors “Twilight” though.

5.) What is your all time favorite TV show? Right now, I’d have to say The Vampire Diaries.  I love it.

6.) Current outfit: White athletic shorts and a huge white v-neck.

7.) Are you dressing up for Halloween this year?  I want to!  I’ve been thinking about what I want to be.  I’m trying to decide between a Vampire Diaries vampire (when they change and get the creepiness around their eyes) or Ariel from The Little Mermaid.

8.) What is your natural hair texture/style? It’s straight with a strange flip at the ends, and I’ve got a lot of hair.

9.) Where would your dream honeymoon be? (or if you’ve had it, where was it?) Doing something I’ve always wanted to do; backpacking in Europe, going to Romania, climbing a mountain, etc.

10.) Weekly goals: Picking up slack in my classes, trying not to get too worn out by work.

Tuesday Questions

1.) Mood:  Sick/exhausted.  This past weekend was completely full.  I worked all day Saturday, went out dancing all of Saturday night, and then worked all day Sunday.  Needless to say, I was exhausted yesterday (and nauseous to boot), and napping didn’t help.  And to top that off, I had an awful dream (which, fortunately, I was able to wake myself up from), and vestiges are still lingering.

2.) What is your favorite genre of music?  I really like classic rock, dubstep, classical music, soundtracks from movies…the list goes on.

3.) What is your favorite ice cream flavor?  Just plain vanilla.  You can’t really mess that up.

4.) Current nail polish:  Again, I need to change this, because I haven’t been wearing any.

5.) Have you ever prank called someone?  Who hasn’t?

6.) Outfit of the Day:  I’m wearing an old white v-neck t-shirt that I got from Kyle years ago, and linen plaid pants.  I just woke up.

7.) What do you like most about autumn? Least?  I love autumn fashion (boots, scarves, and the rich colors; oranges, reds, greens, and browns), and I LOVE the maple trees changing colors from green to that lovely deep orange and deep red.  I’m not a huge fan of the cold air, but I can deal with that.

8.) When do you usually go to sleep at night?  Lately, I’ve been going to sleep at like 3.

9.) What was your favorite toy as a kid?  I loved Barbies.

10.) Weekly goals:  Quit slacking off in school.  I know that I’ve been working a lot, but it really doesn’t make it okay to miss classes.

Tuesday Questions

1.) Mood: Tired, not looking forward to class.  Because I’ve had the last three days off, I’ve been being as lazy as possible, and haven’t done much outside of lying in bed, reading, and/or watching movies.

2.) What did you eat for breakfast this morning?  I had a bag of gummy monkeys while I was reading in bed.

3.) Name the closest red object to you.  A vase that I got last Valentine’s Day (Kyle and I’s three year anniversary) that had roses in it.  Now it holds my tips from work.

4.) Current nail polish:  None.  I really need to change this question.

5.) If you could have any eye color, what would you choose?  I feel like this question was featured once already; but I’ll answer it anyways.  I always wished I had grey or green eyes.  Not that muddy hazel green, but bright, grass green that get people’s attention.  And grey as in so light, you can hardly tell it’s grey.  But I’m happy with my eyes the color they are; they’re the source of most of my compliments.

6.) Outfit of the day:  At the moment, I’m wearing a towel because I just got out of the shower and then realized I had not posted these questions yet.

7.) What is the best movie you’ve seen recently?  I went to see The Lion King 3D with some friends and I was reminded why it was a classic movie.  It also makes me wonder; what in the HELL are we showing kids these days?  No wonder they’re so messed up.

8.) Do you like karaoke?  I’m too shy to do it, and I don’t really like listening to it either.  The people who end up singing are the ones who are deluded enough to think that they’re good…and they’re not.

9.) When putting on pants, do you button and then zip, or zip and then button?  I can’t really remember.  This makes me want to put some jeans on to figure it out.  But I think I do a little of each.

10.) Weekly goals: Continue keeping up with classes, pay off bills, and don’t get too stressed with work and school.
